BattleUS Slalom Trick Ladder

New to BattleUS this year is the Slalom Trick Ladder. The Trick Ladder is a list of moves that ranges from easy to difficult. The competitor gets one try at each move on the list. Whoever gets the highest up the ladder is the winner.

Here are the official rules:

For the Trick Ladder, one attempt per trick is allowed. One missed trick will be allowed on the ladder, the second miss retires the player. The score will be based on the combined highest number of completed tricks, with the highest first missed trick breaking ties.

The competition area will consist of three lines of 8 cones, spaced at 50cm, 80cm and 120cm. A contestant may choose any line of cones to do each trick. The contestant may enter the line of cones from either end, and may do anything before entering the line to prepare for the trick. Unless otherwise noted, once past the first cone, the contestant must be performing the required trick.

To successfully complete a trick, a contestant must slalom all 8 cones (unless otherwise noted), with out knocking any cones over, or without moving any cone more than half it’s diameter (exposing the cone’s center mark position on the ground). No part of the contestant’s body may touch the ground, except for the skates.

An appeal must be discussed with the judge before the end of the each step of the ladder. No video challenges will be allowed. A judge’s decision is final.
